AFRICA

BURUNDI: Kenneth & Melli Johnson: "An Egyptian paediatrician, who helps our Rainbow babies when not working at the government hospital . . . has been granted a Burundian license to start a consulting office at the Rainbow Centre. We've been waiting a long time. Please pray that God will use him to bless many babies, children, and families as we begin our small clinic." [MSC]

D.R. CONGO: Pearl Winterburn: "The Christians pray that the July 30 Congo election would proceed as planned. Congo rebels have joined the Uganda rebels to disturb and stop the election. The election is bringing all sorts of insecurity and fear in Congo. Bunia is still protected - praise the Lord!" [MSC]

KENYA, NEIROBI: Please continue to pray for Joyce and Vinoji Samuel in Neirobi.  Vinoji returned last week from a Holy Land Tour which, according to him, was very fruitful.  Also pray for the other missionaries and Assemblies in Kenya that through them many would come to the saving knowledge of the Lord. [Ben]

COLOMBIA: Carl & Joan Lehmann: "The annual workers' conference is to be held this year in Valledupar, the last weekend of June. This will be a vital time for those leaders who will gather from the assemblies in the north of Colombia. Please pray for unity among them and a sense of the Lord's calling upon them to truly shepherd the Lord's people under their care. There are so few who are willing to care for His flock and minister effectively to their needs." [MSC]

MEXICO: Treavor & Leoncia Kamstra: "In July, we plan on having two weeks of vacation bible schools: one in the city of Mexicali itself, and the other out here in the valley where we live. Lord willing it won't be as hot as last year, because it was between 45 and 50 degrees [Celsius] in the shade all week. At the end of July we have a family camp planned also." [MSC]

MEXICO: Jamie & Monica Sernatinger: "In July, we look forward to ministering at the Medical Caravan in the poor rural area of Puebla . . . The Lord has used this ministry over the years for many to hear the Gospel. The opportunities to tell of the good news of Christ are abundant as one translates between the doctors and patients." [MSC]

MEXICO: Ken and Beverly Small:  " . . . We have just finished with our first two youth mission teams, one at our Ensenada Center and the other at our Tijuana Center . . . Please pray for the needed strength and health for the remainder of the summer, also for the groups as they reach the children with the Word of God.   "The medical clinic is doing well . . . Please pray for the staff of the clinic as they work at their daily tasks and for opportunities to win souls for the Lord.  "Another special prayer request is for the Lord's help as we are in the process of buying the property that houses our clinic and youth mission team centre . . . It is a very difficult job, what with all of the government bureaucracy and the many trips that need to be made to the various government offices." [MSC]

AUSTRALIA

TASMANIA, YOLLA: Please continue to bear the wife of our dear Charles  Wigg who was waiting at the hospital to be moved to the Nursing Home.  I have not received any information from Yolla for a week and I think it is because Bro. Wigg was unable to access his mails.  We are grateful to the Lord for Bro. Wigg who has been used mightily in ministering the Word of God in several countries, especially, in India, spanning more than five decades. [Ben]

INDIA: Dr. Suresh & Jessica Samudre: "The ENT clinic is running smoothly. We were able to conduct a free medical camp and cared for more than 250 sick and needy people. Our dialysis centre is awaiting some technical expertise in order to function smoothly. As the patients visit these medical camps and free clinics they take tracts and New Testaments with them on the way out." [MSC]

INDONESIA: Doug and Ho Sook Neiswender: "Ministry in Indonesia (June 23 to July 20): Doug [will travel] with Jacob [Korean], who has made several trips there. This started through outreach to Indonesian migrant workers in Korea. Some became believers and have gone back, desiring to reach others in their country. One of these is B., a zealous young man. He has a prosperous cell phone business in Java Jakarta, but he leaves it with others for ministry trips like this. An assembly is meeting in a house in Jakarta. A camp is planned at this time in Java. Then we are to fly to the hot, steamy jungles of Borneo with B. leading us to family members and others for the gospel and teaching. In preparation, we've had Typhus shots and Malaria medicine, and may get Yellow Fever shots if needed. Much prayer is needed for fruit, protection, and health in this difficult tropical field." [MSC]

PAKISTAN: We have been advised of an urgent need for a doctor to help run a medical camp in Kashmir in either July or August. Please pray that, despite the short notice, this vacancy will be filled. Contact the Echoes office  (Joan.Hookins@echoes.org.uk)  if you need further details. [EoS]

PAKISTAN: National Worker Abdul Masih reports that they hope to start a Christian bookvan in the area where the earthquake took place, in order to help the local people who have suffered so much. Several non-Christians were present, and the speaker gave a clear gospel presentation. They ask prayer for the planned follow-up, which will take the form of a ‘Discovery’ group. The first meeting will be on 1st July. [EoS]

IRELAND: Colin and Natalie Burnett: "On May 26, we had the [Teach & Testify] team led by Rom Hampton from Canada. There were 8 sent our way to help . . . Most of our time was spent on the doors in Newcastle West. Through the week, three locals made professions of faith . . ."   "On the Friday of the team's visit, we met up with David Stevens (Echoes) in Limerick to help with the sketch board. Many good conversations were had and one man made a profession of faith. We put him in contact with Dave Stevens, as he lived in Limerick. During one of the messages I noticed this young man listening intently. After the message, John Griffin was talking to him and I saw him point over to me [Colin]. Graham (19) had attended a week of children's meetings we had in Rathkeale 7 years ago. He said he still had the Bible we gave him and that he and his dad were reading it. He was on his way to the church when he saw the preaching and said he just had to stop, he is looking for forgiveness in his life and seemed to grasp that this could only be found in Christ. Do pray for Graham as we will try to meet up with him again." [MSC]

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND:  Matthew Wright requests prayer for a six-week outreach team just starting in an area of Ireland with little evangelical witness. The programme will include street work of various styles, door-to-door work, meetings, and Bible studies. All the team members have considerable experience in outreach. The team has long-term goals beyond these six weeks, and they are waiting on the Lord to see how best to move forward. Please pray for the team members, for those who have responsibility for preaching, and for hearts to receive the gospel message. [EoS]
