'Searching for Peace?

Thank you for visiting our web page! Having found an inner peace with
God ourselves, we wish to share the good news we have found with you.

‘Peace at Last!’ So said the newspaper headlines in September 1945 at
end of WW2. In that terrible conflict millions died and many lost loved
ones. When peace came, there was dancing in the streets of cities and
great rejoicing as soldiers returned from the battlefields.

Sadly, the peace was short lived, for the cold war set in and new battles
were fought and many conflicts still continue. All man made ‘Road Maps
to Peace’ end in failure.

Why is there no peace? Because by nature man is at enmity with God
deep in his heart, having rejected the ‘Prince of Peace’.

He Came to Proclaim Peace:  What the world longs for and cannot
achieve is promised in the Lord Christ Jesus, the Son of God. Let us
think of those wonderful promises God our Creator made in the Holy
Bible long before the birth of His son.

The prophet Isaiah wrote about 750 BC: “For unto us a Child is born,
unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isa. 9:6).

At His birth, an angel announced to the shepherds, “For there is born to
you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord…And
suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying: ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth
peace, goodwill toward men’” (Luke 2:11-14).

‘A Man of Sorrows’:  Sadly, although He did many miracles among the
people in raising the dead and healing all sicknesses, He was rejected
and they had Him crucified.

The Bible says that ‘The Prince of Peace’ became “despised and
rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…He was
despised, and we did not esteem Him” (Isa. 53:3). This continues to this
day.

But even in His rejection and death, He became our sin-bearer, and
made reconciliation with God possible, for He “made peace through the
blood of His cross” (Col. 1:20).

Finding Peace:  You can find peace within – inner peace or heart
tranquility! The Bible says that this peace comes in two ways:

1.      “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1). God
forgives you and you have peace with Him when you trust in Jesus.

2.      Jesus said to His disciples, “Peace I leave with you, My peace
I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your
heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

He gives an inner peace in the heart, even in troubled times, to those
who will trust Him and rely upon Him with every issue that would normally
trouble the heart.

One day He will return to take His people home to heaven and to bring
to this sad world true and lasting peace. If you would like to know more
